The relationship of 17-year-old singer, Justin Bieber and his 19-year-old girlfriend, actress, Selena Gomez is in trouble. Things became hot and heavy very fast. Gomez has become quite attached to the younger entertainer, wanting to be with him all the time and control who he sees and when.
In short, she is smothering him. Gomez's insecurity stems from the sheer number of girls (fans) always trying to get close to him and the Bieber's friends, such as Chris Brown, are young and often in the club looking for what they call a good time (see: groupies). Gomez is concerned he will run off with someone else, especially under his friends' encouragement, due to the older and more advanced, promiscuous women in Hollywood and its circles.
